Tune Talk, Malaysia’s fastest-growing digital telco, is set to become a full-fledged mobile network operator (MNO following an agreement signed today with Nokia at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025 that marks a major milestone in Tune Talk’s technological evolution.
Through this collaboration, Tune Talk will deploy Nokia’s cloud-native architecture for CORE network functions on public cloud to enhance network efficiency, scalability, and agility while enabling self-healing and AI-driven automation.
The agreement involves Packet Core, Subscriber Database, Authentication, Mobility Management and high-definition voice network functionalities. Unlike traditional hardware-based systems, these containerized applications run within a cloud-native environment, allowing for seamless deployment, scale, and management across different infrastructures.
By adopting containerized core network functions on public loud, Tune Talk gains a flexible, cost-efficient, and future-ready architecture, ensuring better service reliability, faster updates, and optimized network operations.
First in ASEAN – Tune Talk becomes the first telco in ASEAN to implement a fully containerized core network on public cloud, setting a new regional benchmark in digital telco transformation.
Regional Expansion Catalyst – The technology enables scalable expansion into new ASEAN markets with lower infrastructure costs.
Faster Deployment – Network updates and new features can now roll out 30-50% faster, improving service delivery and innovation.
